Driver M Purdon admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip free of the rein on one occasion early in the run home. After viewing replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Purdon's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 8 May up to and including 21 May 2026 (3 days) and imposed a fine of $100.00.

SONOFAMISTERY - driver T Williams reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered. Returned to the birdcage enclosure with some blood present in its mouth. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the colt to have a minor laceration to its tongue.

SONOFAMISTERY - retired from the event near the 900m after the crupper shifted placing driver T Williams in some difficulty after the gear had been adjusted at the start. Stewards inspected the gear which was found to be in previously good condition with co-trainers S and A Telfer deemed not to be at fault.

MYSTERY CREEK - held up final bend and early in the run home. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards had questioned driver B Orange regarding his sulky wheel contacting a track marker near the 150m. Mr Orange stated that he had shifted down to the marker line in the run home when a clear run was available, however an outside runner had lay in forcing him inwards onto the track marker. After reviewing the films and hearing from Mr Orange Stewards were satisfied that MYSTERY CREEK had not gained an advantage when contacting the track marker and accordingly all placings were duly authorised.

JUMAL - Stewards questioned driver S Ottley regarding the tactics she adopted passing the 1100m when electing to shift outwards from a trailing position. Miss Ottley advised that HADRON COLLIDER which she had been trailing, had worked hard in the early stages and she was concerned that runner may weaken prior to reaching the passing lane or could restrain to obtain cover from GOT THE CHOCOLATES had it improved forward to lead which would have resulted in her horse having to race three back on the marker line. After considering Miss Ottley's explanation, Stewards were satisfied her tactics were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.

After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Miss Ottley, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended her driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 21 November up to and including 28 November 2025. KOTARE RIMU - Stewards lodged a protest against 1st placing being awarded under Rule 869(7B) alleging the gelding had gained an advantage by racing inside the final track marker prior to the passing lane. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards, driver S Hill and trainer R Houghton, the Adjudicative Committee upheld the protest and KOTARE RIMU was relegated to 2nd placing. Junior driver S Hill (assisted by A Butt) admitted an associated charge in that he allowed his runner to improve inside a track marker thereby gaining an advantage. After hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Hill's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 17 May up to and including 29 May 2026 (3 days).
