KYLE LOCH - Stewards spoke with driver N. Kyle regarding the manner she drove during the initial stages of the run home, in particular her apparent lack of vigour. Miss Kyle explained that her horse was travelling well at the time, and she did not consider it necessary to urge her runner further at that stage of the race. Miss Kyle added that she applied more urgency to KYLE LOCH once she became aware of PENELOPE LANE approaching to her outside, but did not believe that urging her horse earlier in the run home would have altered its finishing position. The Stewards accepted Miss Kyle's explanation and noted it accordingly.

MIDNIGHT DIAMOND - raced wide near the 1500m. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule near the 1500m when MIDNIGHT DIAMOND raced wider on the track. After viewing the replays it was established that driver J Morrison (LOTTIE'S MOMENT) had shifted wider on the track prior to MIDNIGHT DIAMOND reaching his sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary.
