TREASURE COVE - paced roughly in the early stages. Broke after locking wheels with FRANCO LOMU near the 650m losing all chance. Driver T Williams defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly by shifting ground outwards near the 650m causing interference to FRANCO LOMU (B Orange) resulting in both runners locking wheels and losing all chance. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and both drivers, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Williams driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 12 June up to and including 21 June 2026 (3 days).

Mr May explained that the gelding had shifted outwards when unsuccessfully attempting to activate the removable deafeners with his foot before he was able to activate this gear at his second attempt. Stewards noted Mr May's comments and reminded him of his obligations to ensure he does not allow his runner to shift wider on the track at this stage of the race.

TRUMP CARD - raced wide from the 500m. When questioned regarding her tactics during the running, driver O Thornley advised that due to the early gate speed she elected to restrain after the start. Miss Thornley further added that due to the sectionals through the middle stages she was reluctant to improve forward and from the 800m was unable to receive a covered run into the race when the one out line failed to progress.
