Driver R Alfeld admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Alfeld's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 21 November 2025 (2 days).

LILY'S A STAR - broke shortly after the start after contacting the sulky wheel of MELTON MAGNATE losing considerable ground. Stewards lodged a protest against 12th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the mare had broken in excess of 150m in the early stages. Driver M Holbrough did not contest the protest and LILY'S A STAR was disqualified by Stewards. Miss Holbrough (assisted by B Mowbray) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly when shifting ground and allowing her runner to strike the sulky wheel of MELTON MAGNATE resulting in her runner breaking and losing all chance. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Holbrough's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 3 December up to and including 6 December 2025 (2 days).

When questioned regarding his decision not to take the run available in the passing lane Mr Smith advised he believed that STYLISH LUSTRE would take this run and that the leader HERE COMES MARTY had been laying outwards under pressure which he felt would provide him with clear racing room however this did not eventuate resulting in him being held up. After viewing the replays Stewards were satisfied his explanation was not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.
