A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

DESERT ROYAL - broke racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.

DESERT ROYAL - weakened rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner. Broke at the 300m losing all chance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than a laceration to the tongue. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. Connections advised the filly will be sent for a spell.

KISS ME KATE - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the mare had over-raced at various stages throughout. Trainer B Munro advised he would be making gear changes prior to resuming.

HOOFN IT - over-raced middle stages. Broke near the 900m checking and hampering trailing runners losing all chance. Driver S Trotter defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly passing the 1000m by displaying a lack of control when activating gear resulting in his runner becoming awkwardly placed between PARADISE ALI and SHE'S GOT SASS and breaking in consequence. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Trotter the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Trotter's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 14 July 2024 (4 days).

HOOFN IT - driver S Trotter admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion and in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Trotter's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 9 June up to and including 16 June 2024 (2 days).
