SALVO - junior driver J Harrington admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly leaving the final bend when allowing his runner to strike the sulky wheel of RACEY KRUSA which punctured. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250. When questioned regarding the improved performance Mr Harrington advised the mare had appreciated the return to mobile racing and a drop in class from recent starts.

Struck track markers passing the 650m when in a break. Stewards lodged a protest against 3rd placing being awarded under Rule 870(3)(4)(d) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding broke in excess of 150m and failed to lose ground while in a break. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and driver R Holmes, the Adjudicative Committee upheld the protest and CAPPAHA was disqualified from 3rd placing.
