MIKI BENNETT - shifted ground outwards near the 300m checking DR GACHET (G O'Reilly) which broke losing all chance. Junior driver N Burton (assisted by J Cox) defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging she drove carelessly when shifting ground. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Miss Burton's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 30 April up to and including 4 May 2025 (2 days).

MIKI BENNETT - hung inwards near the 100m and had to be straightened and then broke near the 70m and continued on in a break across the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest against 3rd placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. The connections did not contest the protest and MIKI BENNETT was disqualified by the Stewards.

AMERICAN ME - over-raced early when being restrained to the rear. Continued to over-race middle stages. Raced wide from the 700m. When questioned regarding his tactics Junior Driver H Orange, assisted by S Phelan, advised he had elected to go back early from a wide draw given he expected SEACLUSION to go forward to lead. Mr Orange further advised he had attempted to improve passing the 1400m but was unable do so because MANTRA BLUE improved forward off him with KEVIN KLINE then shifting out to lead up the running line but not progressing forward as he expected. He also added the gelding hadn't handled the bends well but was nevertheless pleased with the effort given how the race was run.
