After viewing the replays it was established that driver J Morrison (LOTTIE'S MOMENT) had shifted wider on the track prior to MIDNIGHT DIAMOND reaching his sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary. The start was delayed after the horses had commenced coming out of the pre-race formation when there was a gear issue with ONE EL resulting in the horses which had scored up being positioned close to the gate when having to wait for ONE EL. A false start was then declared after ASPIRATIONAL DREAM broke late in the score up and shifted outwards inconveniencing an outside runner. Driver J Morrison elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart.
