Driver L Dobbs admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip on a runner out of contention and with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Dobb's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 1 May 2026 (3 days).

VELOCIS - began awkwardly. Trainer/driver C Butt reported the filly had been making abnormal respiratory noises during the running. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed no abnormalities other than a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.

MONTARA - when questioned regarding the performance co-trainer/driver D White advised that after getting too far back in the running he had been unable to make ground due to the fast closing sectionals and was pleased with the effort.
