ROYAL GYPSY - came together with PRACTICAL MAGIC at the start. When questioned regarding the performance, driver S Thornley could offer no tangible explanation other than noting that the mare was racing up in grade.
PRINCESS SADIE - broke briefly at the start losing ground. Trotted roughly near the 2100m hampering a trailing runner. Lay inwards final bend striking track markers.
PRINCESS SADIE - broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly for a distance when attempting to pace near the 1600m having to be restrained by its driver hampering a trailing runner and losing ground.
CARRERA VAMOS - raced erratically and shifted in abruptly early in the run home resulting in the filly racing inside track markers losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
CARRERA VAMOS - driver S O'Reilly was issued with a warning for being late to arrive at the start area. Over-raced in the early stages when being restrained. Miss O'Reilly reported she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the filly hanging in the run home.
CARRERA VAMOS - co-trainers B & T White were issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after presenting the filly to race without the notified blinds. Hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Broke leaving the final bend checking a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
CARRERA VAMOS - raced greenly in the early stages and hung outwards rounding the first bend hampering outside runners before breaking losing ground. Weakened from the 1000m. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly had bitten her tongue with no other abnormalities.
EASY ART - when questioned regarding his tactics near the 500m when electing not to shift outwards and follow TUPPENCE into the race, trainer/driver R Holmes advised that the gelding had been hanging inwards and proving difficult to drive. Mr Holmes further explained that on previous occasions, the horse had failed to finish its races off when required to improve wide on the track. Stewards noted Mr Holmes' comments, including his intention to make gear changes prior to the horse's next start.
ROCKOUTRAY - lay outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming.

DREAM BOYZ - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation.
ROYAL BELLE - shifted inwards marginally near the 150m dictating EDICT which was laying inwards into the passing lane with the trailing SHE'S A LADY being denied full access. Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing being awarded to ROYAL BELLE (K Hadfield) under Rule 869A(2) alleging interference near the 150m to SHE'S A LADY (J Morrison) placed 3rd. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the Adjudicative Committee upheld the protest and ROYAL BELLE was relegated to 3rd placing. Driver K Hadfield was issued with a warning to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home. When assessing this, Stewards were mindful of the minimal degree of movement from Mr Hadfield's runner.

MIKKO KOIVU - broke at the start and shifted outwards hampering an outside runner losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again rounding the final bend losing its chance.
BILLY KIMBER - out of position at the start. Struck the helmet of driver E Johnson (HE AINT FAKIN) on several occasions rounding the first bend and again approaching the 1300m when trailing too closely. Driver M Holbrough will be spoken to regarding these matters in the coming days.
BILLY KIMBER - raced wider on the track near the 1900m when SIGNAL HILL shifted ground outwards. Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule at this stage of the race, however after viewing replays it was that established that driver K Cameron (SIGNAL HILL) had commenced his movement outwards prior to BILLY KIMBER reaching his sulky wheel with no further action required. Raced wide with cover from the 1300m. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 900m. Raced wide without cover from the 800m.
SHEILA LAXON - co-trainers B & T White were issued a warning for failing to have mudguards affixed to their sulky. Lay inwards when BILLY KIMBER shifted outwards near the 100m becoming awkwardly placed close to that runner's sulky.

GRANNY ROSE - S Tomlinson was a late driver change replacing G Smith. Mr Smith defended a breach of Rule 507(1) in that he broke a driving engagement and after hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Smith the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
YOSEMITE - raced wide from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver B Munro advised he was disappointed with the effort and the mare will be sent for a spell.
YOSEMITE - placed in restricted room racing into the first bend. Driver B Munro admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Munro's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 8 June 2025 (2 days).

DOVER TERRACE - broke at the start and shifted outwards checking outside and trailing runners losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Stewards lodged a protest against 6th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 150m in the early stages. After viewing the replays driver J van Rijn did not contest the protest and DOVER TERRACE was disqualified by Stewards.
DOVER TERRACE - driver B Munro was issued a warning for crossing his reins late in the run home to perform a celebratory gesture. When questioned regarding the improved performance, caretaker trainer B Munro advised Stewards that the gelding had benefitted from a different feeding and training regime since joining his stable as per the horse movement notification. Mr Munro added that the change of environment combined with being able to train alongside other horses had contributed to an improvement in the horse's condition and competitiveness.
DOVER TERRACE - broke and shifted inwards in the score up hampering a trailing runner and after settling was incorrectly positioned behind IMPERIAL LAZ at the start. Stewards spoke to Junior driver R Harrison, who declined assistance from a Senior driver, regarding this with Miss Harrison advising that she was having difficulty steering her runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Notwithstanding this Miss Harrison was reminded of her obligations to make a better effort to be in her correct position at the start. Lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 1600m.
GOTTA LATHER UP - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R Close. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hung inwards over the concluding stages.
GOTTA LATHER UP - trainer W Stevenson was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race with fixed deafeners which had not been notified. Paced roughly leaving the final bend after becoming awkwardly placed to the inside of EDICT making contact with that runner's sulky wheel hampering a trailing runner. BERRETTINI - shied and broke near the 2100m when leading with the gelding shifting up the track checking trailing runners losing ground and was restrained to the rear of the field. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
I'M ROCKIN - over-raced when racing wide in the early stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver R Close advised the gelding may have choked down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

FEAR GOGH - the boring pole was removed prior to the start after breaking in the preliminary. The gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.

OHOKA COBRA - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Raced wide from the 800m. Lay inwards near the 500m placing an inside runner in restricted room.
DONTTELLTHEBOYS - out of position at the candy pole despite the efforts of driver C DeFilippi. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed an irritation in the eye area which was treated.
DONTTELLTHEBOYS - hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m. When questioned regarding the performance driver O Thornley advised that after losing momentum near the 500m she was not disappointed with the effort of the gelding.
ULTIMATE SEISATION - paced roughly final bend. Driver S Hill reported the mare had paced roughly throughout. Connections advised they will have their veterinarian examine the horse in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
A false start was declared when DESTINY'S DREAM and ULTIMATE SEISATION broke in the score up hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of DESTINY'S DREAM and ULTIMATE SEISATION with the drivers of both runners electing to remain in their allocated barrier positions for the restart.

DONTTELLTHEBOYS - driver C DeFilippi defended a breach of the Push Out Rule alleging he shifted outwards near the 1100m forcing KEEPING IT KIWI (R Holmes) to race wider on the track. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr DeFilippi the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $200.
DON JUAN - raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400m. Driver T Duley was issued a warning for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
DON JUAN - shifted inwards in the run home. Driver T Duley was issued a warning to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
DON JUAN - held up early in the run home. Driver T Duley advised she did not activate the removable deafeners as a result. Stewards questioned Miss Duley, assisted by Senior Driver Mr G Smith, regarding her decision to shift inwards at the 900m. Miss Duley explained that the horse is best driven for one run and after losing cover at the 1300m and racing in the open, she considered her best option was to shift inwards in search of cover, consistent with its preferred racing pattern. After considering her explanation and reviewing replays, Stewards accepted her decision at the 900m was not unreasonable and took the matter no further.
WARLOCH - raced wide early. Shifted outwards in the run home. Driver M House defended a breach of Rule 869(4) and the Home Straight Regulations in that he failed to maintain a straight course in the run home resulting in DON JUAN being hampered. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr House the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the charge.
NOTHING BUT YOU - raced wide early. Hung outwards on several occasions throughout the running. Shifted up the track despite the efforts of driver B Orange rounding the final bend when weakening hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery and signs of muscle tie up. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
DON'T TELL JENNY - over-raced middle stages. Driver A White was issued a warning for his lack of control when allowing his runner to shift wider leaving the final bend when leading. Mr White admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip free of the rein on one occasion early in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
SAMVASA - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Driver J Curtin was issued a warning for striking the sulky wheel of TOSANA near the 300m.

Weakened near the 650m hampering a trailing runner.
QUEEN OF SWORDS - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the filly had worked hard in the early stages to obtain the lead which may have taken its toll. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery with signs of a respiratory infection. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
QUEEN OF SWORDS - underwent a post-race veterinary examination after displaying lameness on returning to the stabling area. No significant abnormality was detected and connections advised the filly will be sent for a spell.

Junior driver A Cameron, who declined assistance from a Senior driver, admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Cameron's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 30 November up to and including 5 December 2025 (2 days).

LESTER - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 1200m losing all chance and was retired from the race. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Butt advised the gelding had raced lethargically. A post-race veterinary examination revealed early signs of lameness in the left hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
SECRET AGENT MAN - held up by a weakening runner final bend. Again held up in the middle stages of the run home. Stewards questioned driver N Williamson regarding his decision to shift wider on the track passing the 150m when clearance existed in the passing lane. Mr Williamson explained he was aware driver M Williamson (COMMANDER BEN) had only commenced to shift inwards near the 150m and he believed he would be blocked for clear racing room if he had continued with an attempt to gain a run in the passing lane. Mr Williamson added he then decided to shift outwards and had finished strongly once gaining clear running inside the final 100m. After considering his explanation and viewing the replays Stewards were satisfied his actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.

A false start was declared when the 10 metre barrier strand contacted the sulky mudguard of BLACK MACH and failed to clear the track inconveniencing COCKTAILS AND CAVIAR.
COCKTAILS AND CAVIAR - lay inwards in the run home having to be corrected by driver T Williams. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Williams advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. Co-trainer A Telfer advised she would have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
COCKTAILS AND CAVIAR - lay inwards as the start was effected placing an inside runner in restricted room. Struck the final track marker prior to the passing lane. Driver T Chmiel was issued a warning.
BAZOOKA - slow to leave the pre-race formation and paced roughly in the score up resulting in the gelding being out of position at the start. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Driver S Ottley reported the gelding had paced roughly and raced lethargically throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed minor lameness in the left hind leg. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
BAZOOKA - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Lay inwards rounding the final bend and lost ground placing an inside runner in restricted room momentarily near the 350m.
