PEAKS MOMENT - connections advised the gelding has had its joints treated since last racing. When questioned regarding the performance driver L O'Reilly advised he was disappointed with the effort however given it was the gelding's first start for some time he expected the horse would derive considerable benefit from the race.

PENELOPE HALL - trainer J Versteeg advised the mare has had its hocks treated since last racing. Held up final bend. Driver J Versteeg admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting ground outwards near the 300m checking MODE which broke. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Versteeg's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 14 June up to and including 21 June 2024 (2 days). Mr Versteeg was also warned for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home.

HOOFN IT - over-raced middle stages. Broke near the 900m checking and hampering trailing runners losing all chance. Driver S Trotter defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly passing the 1000m by displaying a lack of control when activating gear resulting in his runner becoming awkwardly placed between PARADISE ALI and SHE'S GOT SASS and breaking in consequence. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Trotter the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Trotter's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 14 July 2024 (4 days).
