Driver J Buckland-Stevens admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion leaving the final bend and early in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.

OFF THE EDGE - over-raced in the score up and became awkwardly positioned inside the gate having to be restrained. Attempted a marginal run to the inside of CHANGEFORTHEBETA near the 250m contacting that runner's sulky wheel and then struck the final track marker prior to the passing lane hampering DIDJASHOUTTHEBAR which had to be steadied and paced roughly for a distance. Driver A Edge was issued a warning for contacting a wheel and a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for contacting a track marker.

Was obliged to remain three wide without cover when the parked position, which was being held by the over-racing INDISPOSED, was not available. Lost ground racing down the back the final time before weakening further from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.

INTERRORGATOR - broke after 150m checking a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver K Butt defended a breach of the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) alleging she shifted outwards near the 1050m forcing NASANA to race wider on the track. After hearing evidence from Stewards, driver K Butt and viewing the replays, the Adjudicative Committee upheld the charge and Miss Butt's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 13 March 2026 (3 days). HUGO - slow to leave the pre-race formation and was out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S O'Reilly. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming. Lay inwards when being eased down the track racing into the first bend and paced roughly losing ground. Paced roughly when racing over the crossing near the 1550m.
