KISS THE GIRLS - broke at the start hampering trailing runners losing ground. Authorisation of placings was withheld after driver K Butt wished to view replays of the start to ascertain whether she had been denied a fair start after the 10m handheld barrier was marginally delayed in releasing. Stewards spoke with drivers J Dunn (DANCE TILL DAWN), B Butt (FOLLOW YOUR DREAM) and J Morrison (TANZANIA) who confirmed their chances had not been affected. A request for a ruling was lodged with the Adjudicative Committee to determine whether KISS THE GIRLS had been denied a fair start. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, KISS THE GIRLS was declared to be a runner.

TANZANIA - broke at the start losing ground. Driver G O'Reilly reported the gelding had been making abnormal breathing noises during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer L Hanrahan advised he will have blood tests taken from the gelding and Stewards will follow up the results.

MOONLITE BLOOD - held up early in the run home. Driver R Close advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered. Mr Close admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting outwards near the 150m checking and hampering outside runners. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Close's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 27 July up to and including 8 August 2025 (3 days).

ALWAYS DREAMING - pre-race warmed. Broke inside the final 50m losing ground and failed to settle. Stewards lodged a protest against this runner's 3rd placing under Rule 870(5) alleging the gelding was in a break as it reached the finish line and lapped on by SEASIDE ROSE. After viewing the replays driver M Williamson did not contest the protest and ALWAYS DREAMING was relegated to 4th placing by Stewards. The breast plate broke rounding the final bend. The gear was inspected by Stewards and found to be in previously good condition.
