AMALFI - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised she had been having steering difficulties. Trainer R Stuart advised the gelding will be sent for a spell.

AMALFI - hung inwards and paced roughly passing the 1500m striking track markers and was retired from the race near the 1300m. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised she had considerable difficulty steering the gelding. A warning was placed on the racing record of the horse. Trainer R Stuart advised he would be making gear changes. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

ONE EYE BANDIT - paced roughly near the 600m. Held up final bend before striking and racing inside track markers near the 250m. Driver B Butt was issued a warning.

TIMES LIKE THESE - hung inwards shortly after the start and was awkwardly placed close to the sulky of WOODLEA ROCKS having to be restrained hampering WOODLEA ROCKS and ONE EYE BANDIT. Lay inwards and had to be straightened near the 600m.

ONE EYE BANDIT - lay outwards and paced roughly rounding the final bend. Raced greenly near the 250m and shifted up the track when hanging outwards despite the efforts of driver B Butt. Again paced roughly in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Butt advised he elected to drive the gelding for one run as it possesses high speed however the horse had panicked when being forced wider rounding the final bend and had paced roughly and shifted outwards abruptly. Mr Butt added he would be making changes to the gelding's gear for future racing.
