Stewards upon viewing all available films established that driver A Poutama (BLUE CHIP LOU) commenced his outward movement prior to YOU LITTLE BEAUTY (D Butcher) reaching his sulky wheel and therefore no further action was deemed necessary. Lay out throughout the run home.

LORD DELMAR - lay out racing down the back straight the final time and raced wider when leading. Shifted out further rounding the final turn despite the efforts of Driver P Ferguson carrying GOTTA ELECT BILL wider on the track. A final warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners. Authorisation of LORD DELMAR's 3rd placing was withheld until Driver S Abernethy (GOTTA ELECT BILL - 4th placing) had viewed the replays and elected not to proceed with a protest, with placings then being duly authorised.

Paced roughly on a further occasion approaching the 250m after contacting a track marker and shifted out having to be corrected. M Hay advised that this runner had raced greenly in this incident which he attributed to the gelding spotting the Ambulance which was positioned in the outfield. Steward's noted Mr Hay's comments.
