When questioned regarding the performance Driver T Mitchell stated that the mare had raced keenly when challenged during the middle stages and this had taken its toll with the event being a rise in grade from the fields that it had raced in recently.

KOKO KABOOM - pre-race warmed. Contacted and punctured the sulky tyre of TINKERBELLE near the 400m. Junior Driver K Coppins, assisted by P Ferguson, admitted a charge under 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Ms Coppins junior driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 31 December 2025 (2 days).
