After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Ms Coppins junior driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 31 December 2025 (2 days).

When questioned regarding the improved performance Driver T Mitchell stated that the mare had benefitted from setting its own terms in front throughout in what was its third race since joining the stable.

When questioned Mr Butcher advised that he had been unable to relieve the pressure to SCOOTS over the final stages due to NIAMH which was racing to his outside having followed him down the track. A warning was placed on BROTHER JOHNSON's racing manners.

Junior driver H Moralde Sands (assisted by driver J Dickie) admitted a charge 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $150. Held up throughout the run home with Ms Moralde Sands not activating the removeable deafeners as a result. Ms Moralde Sands was also questioned in relation to her decision not to shift out off the back of PLAY FAST AND LOOSE approaching the 500m before being covered by PRESIDENT FLYNNTIN. She explained that her mare had shifted in and became awkwardly placed to the sulky of PLAY FAST AND LOOSE when she had crossed her reins to turn her whip and had to be corrected which resulted in her losing the opportunity to shift out to a three wide position. After taking into account Ms Moralde Sands explanation and her relative inexperience Stewards took the matter no further other than to note the circumstances.

Driver E Johnson reported the mare had been striking the sulky wheels on various occasions.

The start was delayed at the first attempt when the field was turned out of line due to Starter D Blakemore not being satisfied with the manner in which the runners approached the barriers. The start was further delayed for approximately 8 minutes when REWIRI HILL became fractious and reared before landing in the sulky of HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL dislodging driver E Johnson who was uninjured. REWIRI HILL and HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL underwent veterinary examinations and were cleared to start. REWIRI HILL was sent to the unruly by the Starter for the restart. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding due to the initial delay to the start .
