Junior driver H Moralde Sands (assisted by S Abernethy) was shown the films and was reminded of her obligations when activating gear in similar circumstances.

A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. When questioned regarding performance driver P Ferguson advised that the early break, and over-racing had taken its toll on the mare.

PANTANI - trainer N Purdon was warned for presenting the gelding to race with blinds not notified. Broke briefly at the start, settled then broke again shortly after losing ground. Broke passing the 300m losing further ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier and racing manners.

KINK - trotted roughly middle stages. Shifted up the track near the 750m when driver M Hay was activating gear which allowed the trailing ROMEO FOXTROT to improve to its inside. Mr Hay advised that the gelding had been proving difficult to steer and had placed him at a disadvantage when activating the removable deafeners. Mr Hay further advised that it was this runner's first start at Alexandra Park and had been laying inwards on the bends and outwards on the straights. After viewing the replays which confirmed Mr Hay's explanation Stewards took the matter no further.

KINK - Driver M Hay admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when allowing his gelding to contact and puncture the sulky tyre of ITMUSCLEBELOVE near the 400m. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicator suspended Mr Hay's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 10 April up to and including 23 April 2026 (2 days).
