When questioned regarding the performance co-trainer/driver M Purdon advised the gelding had raced lethargically and may not have handled the track conditions. ANDRETTI(AUS) - when questioned about his perceived lack of vigour over the concluding stages driver A Poutama advised that the gelding had run its race by the latter stages and he was disappointed with the effort. He further added that he was placed in restricted room near the finishing line. After considering his explanation and viewing all available replays Stewards took the matter no further other than to remind Mr Poutama of his obligations as a driver to drive his horse out to the finish line.

BELL FIRE - Driver B Wilkins was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after restraining the gelding prior to the start being out of position at the dispatch as a consequence.

WHO'S YOUR DRAGON - raced wide early. Unable to hold the back of CRIPPA MAX approaching the 1000m which enabled BELL FIRE to shift out into that position.

BELL FIRE - contacted the sulky wheel of JAHI when laying inwards, becoming awkwardly positioned passing the 400m mark. Was then held up rounding the final turn and during the early stages of the run home. Again became awkwardly placed and contacted the sulky wheel of RUN MASON RUN passing the 75m. Stewards were satisfied that the contact on each occasion were attributable to the racing dynamics at the time and that Driver B Wilkins had not driven carelessly nor contributed to the incidents in any culpable manner. Accordingly, no further action was taken.

CHANGE TACT - broke when angled down the track to secure clear running near the 200m and, as a result lost its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.

CHANGE TACT - Trainer M White was issued with a warning after the mare was presented without the notified blinds. Shifted in on two occasions over the final stages of the run home when appearing to shy at patrons on the outside fence, having to be corrected.

CHANGE TACT - placed in restricted room late in the run home when horses either side shifted ground. Stewards questioned drivers M White (CHANGE TACT) and K Coppins (ROUGH AND READY) in relation to an incident passing the 400m when ROUGH AND READY contacted and punctured the sulky tyre of CHANGE TACT. It was established that ROUGH AND READY had commenced to improve to the inside of CHANGE TACT simultaneously to BLUE CHIP LOU shifting outwards which resulted in the contact occurring. Given the circumstances Stewards deemed that neither driver was solely at fault and took the matter no further other than to note the circumstances.
