It was established that Driver T Cameron (LAYTON DAVID) had commenced his outward movement prior to JESSIE LINCOLN reaching his sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary. Continued to race wide middle stages before crossing to the parked position approaching the 1200m.

Stewards lodged a protest against this runner's 4th placing under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horse's Regulation alleging the filly had broken in excess of 150m over the early stages. Connections did not contest the protest and JESSIE LINCOLN was disqualified by Stewards.

After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties the Adjudicative Committee upheld the protest and AROSE was relegated to 4th placing.
