After considering the matter, Stewards were unable to apportion blame to either driver and no further action was deemed necessary.

Stewards questioned drivers R Fensom (NEW YORK HUSTLER) and D Ferguson (MARA) regarding NEW YORK HUSTLER striking track markers rounding the first bend. After hearing from both drivers it was established that NEW YORK HUSTLER had lay inwards when Mr Fensom had restrained his runner after being crossed by MARA. After considering the matter no further action was deemed necessary.
