SHOWTYM GIRL - over-raced before being steadied off the back of IT'S NAE OR NEVER near the 1050m. Junior Driver L Hibell, assisted by N Chilcott, was shown the replay and spoken to advisedly in relation to the manner in which she drove in this incident. In considering this matter Stewards took into account that Ms Hibell had encountered difficulty when activating the hopple shorteners and also the manner in which the mare had been carrying her tail after having broken the tail tie when kicking out in the preliminary which had placed her at a disadvantage.

SHOWTYM GIRL - Stewards lodged an information alleging Driver N Chilcott drove carelessly near the 300m by allowing her mare to contact the sulky wheel of IDEAL CRUNCH resulting in the tyre puncturing. Ms Chilcott indicated that she would be defending the charge with the matter adjourned sine die.
