LOVEABLE ROGUE - broke near the 200m losing all chance with the near hind and then off fore hopple loops breaking whilst in the gallop. This gear was inspected and found to have been in satisfactory condition with Trainer D Erickson deemed not to be at fault. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.

MAJOR MOONSHINE - commenced to over-race entering the back straight the first time when left without cover then continued to over-race when SILENT THEORY improved around three wide to its outer. When questioned regarding the performance Driver E Johnson stated that the gelding had received every opportunity.

OCEAN BELLE - granted permission to have assistance from an attendant when parading prior to the start. Over-raced down the back straight the first time. Driver N Chilcott advised that she did not activate the removable deafeners due to being out of contention.

RUN BLAZE RUN - lay in and paced roughly near the 1400m. Paced roughly again near the 1000m and weakened from that point. When spoken to regarding the performance Driver S Abernethy stated the gelding was contacting its wheel discs causing it to over-race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
