A post-race Veterinary examination revealed a heel bulb laceration to the medial aspect of the near foreleg. The gelding was stood down pending receipt of a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming racing.

BARSUKOV - broke rounding the first turn and galloped for a considerable distance before settling towards the rear. Broke again near the 300m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners. Driver L Chin admitted a charge under Rule 869 (3)(b) that he drove carelessly near the 900m when contacting and puncturing the sulky wheel of EYES TO HEAVEN (Driver N Chilcott). After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Dr Chin's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 15 August up to and including 28 August 2025 (3 days).
