After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicator suspended Ms Wilkins' driver's licence from the completion of racing on the 13 March up to and including 20 March 2026 (3 days).

After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicator suspended Mr Young's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight and up to and including 15 May 2026 (1 month).

MIKI MIRAGE - commenced to improve to the inside of PROVISEUR on straightening for the run home but then raced over the final track marker at the entrance to the passing lane and broke losing all chance. Stewards held an investigation into the incident. After hearing the relative evidence from Drivers C Hackett (MIKI MIRAGE) and E Johnson (PROVISEUR) and viewing the replays blame could not be solely attributed to either horse or driver with Stewards taking the the matter no further other than to note the circumstances.

WHATZ MY CHOICE - raced greenly for a distance passing the 1200m when unsuccessfully attempting to improve to the lead. Driver C Dalgety was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance, Mr Dalgety advised the gelding had peaked on its run after working hard through the middle stages and he expected the horse would derive considerable benefit from its first start back from a spell.

Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule approaching the 1000m however after viewing the replays it was established that driver J Morrison (GEORGIE ZUKOV) had shifted wider prior to WHATZ MY CHOICE reaching his sulky wheel and no further action was required.

AUNTY ROSE - locked wheels with HE'S TOUGH passing the 1800m for a considerable distance then broke losing considerable ground. Stewards spoke with junior drivers H Orange (assisted by S Abernethy) and C Hackett (assisted by A Poutama) regarding the incident in question. Each driver was given the opportunity to provide their account of the circumstances and after considering the submissions from all parties and carefully reviewing all available race footage, it was established that AUNTY ROSE shifted outward whilst under slight restraint at a point where HE'S TOUGH was improving rapidly to its outside. Stewards were satisfied that the circumstances were a result of racing dynamics rather than any carelessness from either driver and subsequently, no action was deemed necessary.

When questioned regarding the performance driver A Poutama advised that despite the gelding over-racing through the middle stages he could offer no tangible excuse for the disappointing run. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormality. Stewards will follow up the recovery of HE'S TOUGH with connections prior to the second day.
