MAJESTIC TRIX - Stewards questioned drivers B Borcoskie (MAJESTIC TRIX) and K Cameron (VOLSTONE) in relation to an incident near the 1300m when MAJESTIC TRIX was awkwardly placed to the inside of VOLSTONE and raced in the passing lane for a short distance prior to being steadied. After hearing from both drivers and viewing the films, Stewards were satisfied that given the field had been racing loosely and movement from either runner was minimal, no one horse or driver was found to be at fault and no further action was required. Trotted roughly for a distance passing the 700m.

MONEY MAYWEATHER - Driver D Butcher encountered considerable difficulty in activating the removable deafeners early in the run home. Shifted out near the 100m having to be corrected. When questioned Driver D Butcher advised that the gelding had felt uneven in its gait after he activated the removable deafeners so he elected to exercise caution rather than risk his runner galloping.
