WIND OF CHANGE - back from position at dispatch. Lay in near the 250m and received a punctured sulky tyre when contacted by SO MYSTIFYING. Stewards could not attribute blame solely to either driver and took the matter no further.

HARLEEN QUINZEL - raced wide early. Broke passing the 200m. Stood down to complete one trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.

HARLEEN QUINZEL - shifted up the track under pressure throughout the run home. Broke near the 60m and continued in the incorrect gait across the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded to HARLEEN QUINZEL under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the mare had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays driver R McIlwrick did not contest the protest and HARLEEN QUINZEL was disqualified by the Stewards. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.

DOLLY P - over-raced middle stages. Lay in and contacted a track maker near the 950m. Driver M Perriton admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Ms Perriton's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 6 September 2024 (2 days).
