SPIRITUAL BLISS - fell to the track on pulling up after tipping Driver H Orange from the sulky but was immediately attended to by the crash crew and veterinarian. This mare then got away from the attendants after having the sulky and harness removed due to the bridle coming off when being restrained. SPIRITUAL BLISS was subsequently caught by attendants at the birdcage gates and found not to have sustained any injury in this incident after a veterinary examination. Driver H Orange was examined by St John personnel and cleared of injury.

DOCTOR TIM - contacted a track marker entering the first bend after being placed in restricted room to the inside of HA'PENNY (E Johnson), which had also been momentarily crowded when racing to the inside of STEALERS WHEEL (P Ferguson) and FREDASTAIRE (S Abernethy). After reviewing all available footage, Stewards were unable to attribute responsibility for DOCTOR TIM and HA'PENNY being placed in restricted room to any one horse or driver, and accordingly took the matter no further. Over-raced briefly through the middle stages. Shifted outwards near the 1250m, momentarily forcing BLUE CHIP LOU (H Orange) to race wider on the track. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule and after viewing all available films established that driver M Hay had commenced his outward movement prior to BLUE CHIP LOU reaching his sulky wheel, and accordingly no further action was taken. Weakened leaving the final turn.

After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicator suspended Mr Doody's driver's licence from conclusion of racing tonight upto and including 31st March 2026 (2 days).

Stewards upon viewing all available films established that driver A Poutama (BLUE CHIP LOU) commenced his outward movement prior to YOU LITTLE BEAUTY (D Butcher) reaching his sulky wheel and therefore no further action was deemed necessary. LAKELSA - lay outwards early in the run home and was held up for clear racing room until inside the 50m. Stewards questioned driver R Close regarding his decision to shift outwards early in the run home when a run to the inside of RUBY ROE was available. Mr Close advised that at the time he elected to shift outwards, there appeared to be only marginal room to his inside, and a run to the outside was presenting when FRANCENT lay outwards, however this option closed shortly after. After hearing from Mr Close and reviewing the replays, Stewards were satisfied that his decision was not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.

BEACH DAY - shifted outwards near the 100m checking MHAI SURFER GIRL. Driver M Hurrell admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting ground. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Hurrell's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 15 February up to and including 22 February 2026 (3 days).

DYNASTY - checked and shortly after broke rounding the final bend hampering trailing runners losing all chance. Stewards questioned drivers J Cox (ULTIMATE CULLECT) and B Butt (DYNASTY) regarding this incident and after viewing the replays and hearing from both drivers it was established that both runners had shifted outwards simultaneously with ULTIMATE CULLECT then becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of MHAI SURFER GIRL causing Mr Cox some difficulty. After considering the matter Stewards were satisfied that no one horse or driver was at fault and took the matter no further. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
