INNOCENT MAN - paced roughly late in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

INNOCENT MAN - over-raced when being restrained early. Continued to over-race for a distance in the early and middle stages.

INNOCENT MAN - Stewards questioned trainer R Frampton regarding the improved performance of the gelding . He stated that the horse had been racing well but was unlucky during the running in recent races . And in this race the horse was handy and made good use of the passing lane .

INNOCENT MAN - commenced to over-race near the 1700m. Paced roughly near the 1550m and then again near the 1400m briefly hampering trailing runners. Broke near the 250m when in restricted room losing ground before settling. When questioned Driver T Mitchell stated that the gelding had commenced to weaken and lay in marginally when in restricted room contacting the sulky of MARY MAGDALENE with its near hind causing it to break. Stewards noted Mr Mitchell's comments.

3rd inr,3-bk 1900,unable to quicken

INNOCENT MAN - held up by the weakening MARIA KIRILENKO rounding the final turn then broke near the 200m after contacting that runner's sulky wheel. Junior Driver L Hibell (assisted by D Butcher) admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Hibell's driver's licence from conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 15 August 2025 (2 days).

INNOCENT MAN - broke late in the score up losing all chance and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
