SAYS WHO - Driver K Hall admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule in that he shifted his gelding outwards near the 1200m forcing LUKAKU to race wider on the track. After viewing the replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.

HILARIOUS LOVE - over-raced middle stages before being taken out from the marker line passing the 1000m. Driver P Young admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300. Mr Young advised the gelding had been striking his own wheel disc during the running.

MIDFREW LUCRE - Driver J Kriechbaumer was issued a warning for allowing his gelding to shift outwards rounding the final turn when activating gear which forced TUGAWAR wider on the track. Authorization of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that there were insufficient grounds for a protest with connections of TUGAWAR also electing not to protest when given the opportunity.
