Driver L Chin admitted a charge under Rule 868(2) in that failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures during the middle stages to ensure his gelding was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible position and/or finishing place by persisting with a challenge for the lead which resulted in this runner weakening rounding the final turn to finish in 11th place. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Dr Chin's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 26 January 2026 (5 days).

Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 869(7B) against this runner's 3rd placing alleging the mare had gained an advantage in this incident. After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays the Adjudicative Committee upheld the protest and disqualified MISS BEBE.

Stewards held an investigation into this incident and after hearing the relative evidence from Junior Driver C Hackett (ILLICIT LOVE) assisted by M Wallis, Driver S Abernethy (EYRE I WILL) and viewing the replays it was established that these runners had been contesting a position in the running line when racing on terms with neither driver being deemed to be at fault. Given the circumstances Stewards took the matter no further.

HIGHER POWER - driver S Phelan defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly when shifting ground inwards near the 800m resulting in ILLICIT LOVE (C Hackett) being checked and losing ground. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from both drivers and Stewards, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and after hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Phelan's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 28 November up to and including 12 December 2025 (3 days).
