Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards questioned Driver D Butcher (KANGO - 4th place) who confirmed that his chances had not been affected. Driver T Herlihy admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Herlihy's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 12 April up to and including 26 April 2024 (3 days).

MCKENDRICK - locked wheels with ARTISAN near the 300m losing all chance. Driver B Orange was questioned regarding this incident and advised that he had attempted to follow JOLIMONT when MIKI SHAN shifted wider passing the 400m but MCKENDRICK had lay in when in restricted room which resulted in the locking of wheels with the weakening ARTISAN. Given the circumstances Stewards took the matter no further other than to note the circumstances

After viewing the replays a protest was lodged under Rule 869A(2) by driver J Cox (ALTA METEOR) placed 5th, against 4th placing being awarded to JOLIMONT (D Butcher) alleging interference near the 40m. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the protest.
