HEAVEN HIGH - Driver O Gillies reported that he was unable to activate the sliding blinds due to the cord becoming entangled.

Driver O Gillies admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion rounding the final bend and in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Gillies' driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 7 August 2026 (3 days).

HEAVEN HIGH - near the 1000-metre mark, Driver O Gillies was required to adjust his helmet after RUSHKINOFF had raced in close proximity to the rear of his sulky. At that stage, Mr Gillies turned and directed comments towards Driver S Wigg. Stewards interviewed both Mr Gillies and Ms Wigg regarding the exchange. After considering the evidence of both drivers, together with their own observations. Stewards established that Mr Gillies had directed foul and offensive language towards Ms Wigg at this stage of the race. Subsequently, Mr Gillies admitted a charge under Rule 303(2) in that he misconducted himself and following submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $500.

IT'S NOT KATHY - badly hampered by a weakening runner near the 950m then shifted outwards forcing HEAVEN HIGH wider on the track. Stewards questioned Drivers T Cameron (IT'S NOT KATHY) and M Ranger (HEAVEN HIGH) in relation to this incident. It was established that HEAVEN HIGH had lay inwards when IT'S NOT KATHY shifted ground to its inside and overreacted. Notwithstanding this Mr Cameron was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances in the future.

Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 869A(2) against this runner's 4th placing alleging interference passing the 800m when the gelding lay in despite the efforts of Driver M Hay when improving three wide, forcing FREDASTAIRE down on to GOORAMBAT ART resulting in these two runners locking sulky wheels and losing considerable ground. The protest was not contested by connections with LORD DELMAR being relegated to 5th placing behind GOORAMBAT ART by the Adjudicative Committee. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
