WHO'S YA DADDY - Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing being awarded under Rule 859(2) to determine whether the gelding had started in advance of its correct unruly position on the second line. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards, driver B Butt and Starter R Donnelly, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the protest. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.

MISS BEBE - broke passing the 400m and was taken down inside the marker line to clear trailing runners but soon settled then raced inside the track markers rounding the final bend for a distance. Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 869(7B) against this runner's 3rd placing alleging the mare had gained an advantage in this incident. After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays the Adjudicative Committee upheld the protest and disqualified MISS BEBE.

The start was delayed at the first attempt due to VORONOV and MISS BEBE coming to the barrier out of position with the field being turned out of line. Driver D Butcher (MISS BEBE) was issued a $200 Minor Infringement Notice for delaying the start. The start was then further delayed when HELSINGOR required assistance from an Attendant after being reluctant to come forward onto the barrier.
