Stewards questioned drivers L Neal (TWO FRANCS) and B Wilkins (CONRAD H) and after hearing explanations from both drivers Stewards could not apportion full blame to either horse or driver and took the matter no further. TIKI - Driver A Pyers reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 500m when being steadied to shift down on to the marker line, with the sulky wheel being contacted by the trailing EAGLE HANOVER (K Coppins). Given the circumstances Stewards were satisfied that Miss Coppins had not driven carelessly in this incident and took the matter no further.

VORONOV - Trainer L Chin was issued with a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for the late notification of himself as driver. Trotted roughly for some distance before breaking near the 500m losing its chance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed muscle soreness in the gelding's off hind.

CAVIAR NOIRE - shifted down into the passing lane when under pressure in the run home impeding the progress of TRAVELIN SOLDIER (3rd placing). Authorisation of CAVIAR NOIRE's 1st placing was withheld until Driver T Cameron (TRAVELIN SOLDIER) confirmed that his chances of beating CAVIAR NOIRE had not been affected in this incident. Driver O Gillies admitted a charge under Rule 869(4) and the Home Straight Regulations in that he allowed his mare to shift inwards in the run home thereby failing to allow the trailing TRAVELIN SOLDIER full access to the passing lane. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicator suspended Mr Gillies' driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 17 April up to and including 24 April 2026 (2 days).
