When questioned regarding the performance connections advised they were disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days. OPA'S GIRL - raced erratically passing the 700m then weakened shortly after to finish distanced. When questioned Driver D Butcher stated that this runner had not warmed up as keenly as it had previously and raced lethargically throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.

OPA'S GIRL - raced greenly and shifted outwards abruptly near the 1200m hampering a trailing runner then broke losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied this runner had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
