Raced greenly and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of KAIPAKI JACK when CONRAD H was shifting inwards near the 650m and struck the sulky wheel which punctured. Stewards questioned drivers L Neal (TWO FRANCS) and B Wilkins (CONRAD H) and after hearing explanations from both drivers Stewards could not apportion full blame to either horse or driver and took the matter no further. The start was delayed at the first attempt due to VORONOV and MISS BEBE coming to the barrier out of position with the field being turned out of line. Driver D Butcher (MISS BEBE) was issued a $200 Minor Infringement Notice for delaying the start. The start was then further delayed when HELSINGOR required assistance from an Attendant after being reluctant to come forward onto the barrier.

Driver L Chin admitted a charge under Rule 868(2) in that failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures during the middle stages to ensure his gelding was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible position and/or finishing place by persisting with a challenge for the lead which resulted in this runner weakening rounding the final turn to finish in 11th place. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Dr Chin's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 26 January 2026 (5 days).

After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr McKendry's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including the 29 May 2025 (8 days).
