LINCOLN LINDA - pulled hard score up. Raced wide throughout when unable to secure the position outside the leader which was being held by COOL FOR CATS.

LINCOLN LINDA - slow to leave pre-race formation and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Lay in and raced over track markers near the 1200m. Weakened from the 900m. When questioned regarding the performance driver M McKendry advised that he had difficulty steering the filly throughout the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.

Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that there wasn't sufficient grounds for lodging protests against the first two placegetters given where the interference occurred and the margins involved. Trainer/Driver N Chilcott (MAKORORI) was afforded the opportunity to proceed with protests but elected not to do so. An investigation into this matter was opened and adjourned sine die.
