Mr Cameron explained that he had been reluctant to release the deafeners earlier as the filly had been trotting roughly and had galloped in similar circumstances at its previous start. Stewards noted Mr Cameron's comments.

When questioned regarding the performance Driver J Dickie stated that after this runner had mixed its gait early he had been left to race in the parked position and was required to lead the running line forward through the middle stages after being unable to obtain cover. Mr Dickie added that considering this he was not disappointed with the performance of the filly.

When questioned Mr Butcher advised that he had been unable to relieve the pressure to SCOOTS over the final stages due to NIAMH which was racing to his outside having followed him down the track. A warning was placed on BROTHER JOHNSON's racing manners.
