TIKI - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight. Driver A Pyers admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 100m when shifting ground inwards resulting in contact being made to MECHANICA which trotted roughly as a result. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicator imposed a fine of $300.

TIKI - Driver A Pyers reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 500m when being steadied to shift down on to the marker line, with the sulky wheel being contacted by the trailing EAGLE HANOVER (K Coppins). Given the circumstances Stewards were satisfied that Miss Coppins had not driven carelessly in this incident and took the matter no further.

The all clear was withheld until driver O Gregory (assisted by T Mitchell) had viewed the start with both driver and Stewards satisfied that notwithstanding being placed in restricted room the filly had broke due to its own manners.
