To contest the Young Guns Easton Light Classic a trotter NEED NOT contest the Prelude but must be qualified and passed from the mobile start.

T K SUPERSONIC - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the colt's barrier manners. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an abrasion to the off side neck was evident following the event which revealed that the hair had been removed but the skin had not been broken. The off side rein pricker was inspected and found to be in satisfactory condition with the prongs having been blunted to the required level. Caretaker Trainer M White advised that he had added the rein pricker to the colt's gear prior to the final workout leading into tonight's event with no issues. Mr White further stated that this runner had warmed up in a satisfactory manner other than it having sweated up more than normal. He also added that he will be making a corrective gear change.

Stewards lodged a protest against this runner's 2nd placing under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the colt had broken in excess of 150m over the early stages. Connections did not contest the protest and DUKE OF BOURBON was disqualified by Stewards.
