CATH - over-raced when being restrained passing the 1300m. Driver S Hill was issued a warning for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.

Junior driver S Hill (assisted by G O'Reilly) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly by allowing his runner to strike the sulky wheel of THE QUEENS GAMBIT early in the run home resulting in the tyre being punctured. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Hill's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 30 November up to and including 10 December 2025 (5 days).

Driver C Dalgety admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion near the 1000m. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Dalgety could offer no tangible reason. A post-race endoscopy detected a degree of mucus that may have affected the horse's racing performance. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing again.

ALL OF ME - raced wide through the middle stages before progressing to the lead near the 1000m. Shifted inwards late in the run home when to the inside of MIKI'S DEAL, which also shifted inwards. Stewards held an investigation into the incident and, after viewing the replays and hearing from Driver C Dalgety, were unable to attribute sole responsibility to MIKI'S DEAL so took the matter no further.
