It was established that Driver T Cameron (LAYTON DAVID) had commenced his outward movement prior to JESSIE LINCOLN reaching his sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary. Continued to race wide middle stages before crossing to the parked position approaching the 1200m.

JESSIE LINCOLN - broke at the start and galloped for a considerable distance losing ground. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners. Stewards lodged a protest against this runner's 4th placing under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horse's Regulation alleging the filly had broken in excess of 150m over the early stages. Connections did not contest the protest and JESSIE LINCOLN was disqualified by Stewards.
