Front: Trotters with no wins for lifetime. 30m: Horses with 1 win for lifetime. If insufficient nominations, the lowest rating and or conditioned horses from Races 2 & 3 may be added to ensure the race is run and to optimise field sizes.

For R35 to R40 4yo-&-older trotters. This race is for Invited Junior Drivers only. Rating Penalty Free Race. This race is restricted to 10 starters plus up to two emergencies. Full conditions of this series, including competing drivers, can be found online in the Racing Schedules section of the HRNZ website, from 1 October 2026. This race will be selected at the discretion of the HRNZ Bureau. See Special Condition 3 for information regarding the Rating Penalty Free status of this race.

For R35 to R50 pacers. Ratings and or conditions may be used when determining the splits for these races. Preferential barrier draws numbering sequentially from 1 may apply should it be deemed necessary to ensure overall fairness to all horses given the ratings spread in these races.
Special Conditions
- RATINGS PROGRAMME
This meeting will be run following an open nominations type format. It is a likely indication of the programme that will be in place for the meeting. Where it is required changes will be made to the final programme after the close of withdrawals. Ratings bands and other conditions shown only serve as an indication as to how races will likely be programmed. As nominations permit race conditions will be programmed to ensure horses can race in a competitive environment whilst also optimising field sizes and where possible ensuring as many horses as possible gain a start.
- ONE NOMINATION
Trainers are advised that a horse may only be nominated for One Race at this meeting. Trainers do however have the right to Transfer their horse(s) following the close of Nominations. The Club reserves the right to transfer any horse deemed necessary, unless trainers specify that their horse(s) is NOT to be Transferred.
- EXTRAORDINARY PENALTY FREE RACES
In the event a four-year-old or older horse wins an Australasian Young Drivers Championship heat where it has previously benefitted from winning a Rating Penalty Free Drivers race this year, the win on this programme will become an Extraordinary Rating Penalty Free win, whereby a horse will receive a second Rating Penalty Free win for the 2026 racing season only (January 1 to 31 December 2026).
