For R41 to R60 trotters. Front: R41 to R45. 10m: R46 to R50. 20m: R51 to R55. 30m: R56 to R60. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season.

For 2yo pacers with up to 1 win for lifetime. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Sex (fillies and mares drawn inside colts, geldings and entires) then Winning Stakes numbering sequentially from 1. If this race is not held these horses will be transferred to Races 5 or 7 and conditions amended.

For R36 to R45 3yo pacing fillies. Also R36 to R45 3 yrs & older colts & geldings. Also R41 to R45 4 yrs & older mares. Also R46 to R50 if driven by a concession junior driver. This race will be split based on ratings. Preferential Barrier Draws will be used if deemed necessary numbering sequentially from 1. Also eligible will be any mare balloted, eliminated or ineligible for the Tuapeka Golden Girls Mares Final. The stake for the lowest rating race(s) will be $11,000, highest race $12,000.

For R46 to R75 pacers. Front: R46 to R50. 10m: R51 to R55. 20m: R56 to R65. 30m: R66 to R75.

Special Conditions

  1. NOMINATION

    A horse may only nominate for one race on the programme, the trainer has the right to transfer the horse if he/she wishes, and may advise the club at the time of nomination whether the horse is to be transferred or not.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS

    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS

    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the bureau has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in the race for which it was nominated to any other race on the programme for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the bureau to exercise its right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as nominator to advise the bureau of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS

    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split at the Bureau's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS

    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. GOLD CHIP

    For non-win, or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Wyndham HRC meeting to be held on Thursday 1st October 2026. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged two years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Final a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Wyndham HRC, Northern Southland TC, Invercargill HRC, Oamaru HRC, Tuapeka HRC and Winton HRC) in the period from 1st October 2026 through to 8th November 2026. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3. Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most thirds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then club discretion. 4. The $15,000 Gold Chip Championship held on 15th November 2026 at the Wyndham HRC meeting will be raced over 2400m, from a standing start. (Non-winners) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap.
