R35 TO R60, R61 TO R65 WITH COND. MOBILE PACE 2200m (Tentative)

Of $15000

For R35 to R60 pacers. Also R61 to R65 if driven by a concession junior driver. This race will be split based on ratings. Preferential Barrier Draws will be used if deemed necessary numbering sequentially from 1. The two middle races will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season. The highest race will be run as the Bluff Cup. The lowest rating race will have a stake of $10,000, second lowest $11,000, second highest $12,000 and highest race $15,000.

Special Conditions

  1. RIGHT OF RE-ENTRY TIME

    Shall be 5pm on day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS

    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS

    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the bureau has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the bureau to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the bureau of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS

    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the bureau's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS

    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. GOLD CHIP

    For non-win, or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Winton HRC meeting to be held on Thursday 7th May 2026. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged two years and older that have never won a race (non-winners), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Winton HRC, Invercargill HRC and Forbury Park TC) in the period from 7th May 2026 through to 5th July 2026. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3.Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 3rds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then Bureau Discretion. 4.The $15000 Gold Chip Championship held on 13th July at the Invercargill HRC meeting and will be raced over 2200m, from a standing start. (non-winners) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap.

  7. SILK ROAD SOUTHERN WINTER TROTTERS SERIES

    For trotting fillies and mares with up to R50 at the close of nominations for the first heat of this series. 1. Horses must have competed in a heat to be eligible to contest the final. 2. Heat Winners are automatic qualifiers 3. Win two heats and you are ineligible to contest a further heat. 4. Win a heat and the Final, the Final is Rating Penalty Free 5. Heats and Final will be Mobiles 6. Remainder of the final field will be selected by the Bureau, with Preference given to horses that competed in the most heats.
