For R35 to R45 3 yrs & older pacers. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Rating numbering sequentially from 1. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season.

Special Conditions

  1. RIGHT OF RE-ENTRY TIME

    Shall be 5pm on day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS

    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS

    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the bureau has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the bureau to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the bureau of the same.

  4. ONE NOMINATION

    A horse may only nominate for one race on the programme/race day. The trainer has the right to transfer the horse if he/she wishes, and may advise the club at the time of nominations whether the horse is to be transferred or not. NOTE: selection preference, where applicable will be given to the ORIGINAL nominations for a race.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS

    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. GOLD CHIP

    For non-win, or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Winton HRC meeting to be held on Thursday 26th March 2026. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged two years and older that have never won a race (non-winners), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Winton HRC, Wyndham HRC, Invercargill HRC and Wairio TC) in the period from 26th March 2026 through to 26th April 2026. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3.Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 3rds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then Bureau Discretion. 4.The $15000 Gold Chip Championship held on 3rd May at the Riverton TC meeting and will be raced over 2400m, from a standing start. (non-winners) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap.
