Special Conditions
- ONE NOM PER HORSE
NOTE: A horse may only nominate for one race on the programme, the trainer has the right to transfer the horse if he / she wishes, and may advise the club at the time of nomination whether the horse is to be transferred or not.
- DUAL ACCEPTORS
Selection Preference for this meeting, in the first instance, will be given to horses that are not already accepted into a race(s) at another meeting.
- LATE NOMINATIONS
In the event Nominated are extended for any races or the meeting, selection preference will be given to those horses that Nominated at the original closing time. Except in the case of Non-Win races, where Field Selection Regulations take precedence or where specific race or series conditions are Programmed.
- ELIGIBILITY
Any horse is eligible to nominate & accept for a race that has a higher Rating than it has. However, preference will be given in the first instance to horses that the race caters for in terms of Rating. Races Programmed with an 'R' rating will see preference given to 'R' rated horses over 'MR' rated horses.
- FIELD SELECTION
Field Selection for this meeting will be conducted in line with the Handicapping Regulations for non-win or non-win front races. That being; first and second preference horses will be selected in the first instances and thereafter at club's discretion. All other races will be selected at the club's discretion or per the conditions attached to each Programmed race.
- SPLITTING FIELDS
In the event any race or races are split on the Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.
- PLACEMAKERS ASH'-MATT SMITH CONSTRUCTION CHALLENGE
1. Four teams of three drivers will contest the five DRIVERS CHALLENGE races. The four teams are as follows: RISING STARS - Wilson House, Sam Thornley, Harrison Orange. PREMIERSHIP LEADERS: Ricky May, Zachery Butcher, John Dunn. LEADING LADIES: Sam Ottley, Sheree Tomlinson, Crystal Hackett. METHVEN: Gerard O'Relly, Johnny Morrison, Sarah O'Reilly. 2. In those five specific races drivers will be randomly drawn. 3. The drivers will be drawn in their respective races by the club at the completion of the acceptances for this meeting. 4. In the event of a scratching... 5. Drivers will accrue points in the following manner. The first place = 5 points, second place = 3 points, third place = 2 points, 4th place = 1 point. 7.The team that accrues the most points across the designated races will be crowed the winner. In the event of a tie a countback will be used. In the first instance to the team with the most first placings, secondly the team with the most second placings. Thirdly, the team with the most third placings. 8. In the event any listed drivers are unavailable, the alternates, will be: Jim Curtin, Kim Butt, Riley Harrison, Leo O'Reilly. 9. Across all races in this competition competing drivers will wear their own designated colours, which will be displayed in official form guides, including the on-course racebook. 10. In the event any circumstances arise that are not covered by these conditions, the CEO of HRNZ will make the final determination.
