R35 TO R45 MOBILE PACE AMATEUR DRIVERS 2000m (Tentative)

For R35 to R45 pacers. This race is for Amateur Drivers only and has a Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Rating then Earnings in the last 5 starts numbering sequentially from 1. This race will have a maximum of eight (8) horses on the front line.

- RIGHT OF RE-ENTRY TIME
Shall be 5pm on the day before raceday.
- ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS
In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.
- IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS
Owners and Trainers are reminded that the club has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the club to exercise its right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the club of the same.
- SPLITTING FIELDS
In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.
- DUAL ACCEPTORS
In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.
- GOLD CHIP
For non-win (MR), or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Central Otago TC meeting to be held on Friday 2nd January 2026. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged two years and older that have never won a race (non winners, MR), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Central Otago TC, Roxburgh TC, Wyndham HRC, Northern Southland TC, Oamaru HRC, Riverton TC, Invercargill HRC and Waikouaiti TC) in the period from 2nd January 2026 through to 1st February 2026. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible. 3. Field Selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during the period, most 3rds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then Club discretion. 4. The $15,000 Gold Chip Championship held on 8th February 2026 at the Wairio TC meeting and will be raced over 2400m, from a standing start. (non-winners, MR) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap.
