Special Conditions
- ONE NOM PER HORSE
NOTE: A horse may only nominate for one race on the programme, the trainer has the right to transfer the horse if he / she wishes, and may advise the club at the time of nomination whether the horse is to be transferred or not.
- DUAL ACCEPTORS
Selection Preference for this meeting, in the first instance, will be given to horses that are not already accepted into a race(s) at another meeting.
- LATE NOMINATIONS
In the event Nominated are extended for any races or the meeting, selection preference will be given to those horses that Nominated at the original closing time. Except in the case of Non-Win races, where Field Selection Regulations take precedence or where specific race or series conditions are Programmed.
- ELIGIBILITY
Any horse is eligible to nominate & accept for a race that has a higher Rating than it has. However, preference will be given in the first instance to horses that the race caters for in terms of Rating. Races Programmed with an 'R' rating will see preference given to 'R' rated horses over 'MR' rated horses.
- FIELD SELECTION
Field Selection for this meeting will be conducted in line with the Handicapping Regulations for non-win or non-win front races. That being; first and second preference horses will be selected in the first instances and thereafter at club's discretion. All other races will be selected at the club's discretion or per the conditions attached to each Programmed race.
- SPLITTING FIELDS
In the event any race or races are split on the Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.
- NZ JUNIOR DRIVER CHAMPIONSHIP
The race conditions of NZ Junior Driver Championship heats, may, at the discretion of The Bureau be altered in order to ensure the fullest fields possible are carded. Any changes made will be communicated via text message & added to the Nominations text, online.
- EXTRAORDINARY PENALTY FREE RACES
In the event a four-year-old or older horse wins a NZ Junior Driver Championship heat where it has previously benefitted from winning a Rating Penalty Free race this year, the win on this programme will become an Extraordinary Rating Penalty Free win, whereby a horse will receive a second Rating Penalty free win for the 2025 racing season only (January to December).
